Hi-jacking the thread here. Im also headed to Montagu for the weekend but dont have too much time to be out riding all day. So I was looking to head out early on the road bike on one of the mornings. I was thinking of heading out towards Barrydale and Tradou pass and back. Does anyone know how safe it is for one to head out by themselves on these roads? Are there any groups that ride in the area? Thanks.

Hi guys, Im going to be in Magoebaskloof this coming weekend and want to try hit some trails. I see there are a few trails around that I can easily jump onto, but I would like to find out if anyone knows of any of the locals that I could contact and ride with? I dont really want to ride by myself so I would prefer to ride in a group for safety reasons. Thanks in advance. Rob.

Hey Gerald and Admin. Good job on the fantasy tour. Just one thing, each time i click on the "view my entry" tab to see how my team is doing, it redirects me to someone elses team. For example this morning it took me to Asterix's team. Yesterday it was another hubbers team and never to my team. Any clue what is going on here? Cheers, Rob.

You can ride any routes, park closes at 10pm I think on Wednesdays and normal entrance of R50. Once a month they have the Over the Moon night race with a set route, think the next one is on 2 March. See you tonight!

Hey guys looking for some advice here from Western Cape mountain bikers. Im planning a road trip late December from JHB down to CT and then across to Plett and back up to Jozi (with possibly a few stops along the way, eg: Hermanus, George..) Not too sure how long I will be down there for (guessing about 2 weeks min) and im taking both my road and mtb with. But with regards to the mtb, I want to know what trails along my road trip are best suited for a 29er hardtail. Looking on here it seems that most guys in WC tend to ride trails that are better suited to a dual sus with some decent travel, so I dont want to rock up at a bike park and not be able to ride the trails due to my hardtail not being able to handle big drop offs... Im fairly fit so I can handle long distances, and obviously single track is a winner. So if anyone can give me some advice on some trails to hit in the above areas I would appreciate it. Would even be awesome to meet up with some of you guys along the way. Peace out! Rob.

Sydd what route do you have in mind? Im looking at going from Sandton to Germiston.

Chukky and Routjie, 3 of us are planning on doing this route on Sunday, if you guys are around we can join forces and try tackle it.

Missed registration yesterday, anyone know if I can collect race numbers tomorrow morning? Also have a mate of mine who didnt enter, anyone know if it will be possible for him to do a line entry tomorrow morning?

Hi Wessel In your booklet there is no mention of the total ascent for the marathon and half, any idea what these would be? Thanks
