Did a trial on the nightride route last night. Awesome experience! The 12km route is not too long to be a negative for the next day but still long enough to make it worthwhile for the additional effort to kit up for the ride. Not too technical but not gravel roads either. You need to ensure that you have a proper light and at some places keep your wits together. Beautifull views of Robertson in the night from some places and at other you could trick yourself to believe that you are in the middle of the Karoo with the nothing around you and a beautifull nightsky above you. A lekker warm fire at the end with a cup of steaming coffee and something to eat definitely has the potential to end up in a great evening.
