HI Guys, Did my first TB last weekend. Loved it. I was part of some of the last guys to finish, but the full team of 4 finished. Fangs 2 killed me, and MAC. But after that i pulled through and finished in a blistering time of 20:48:23 :-) Will be back next year, fell in love with this ride.

Bit further away, but look up the PEMBI's on Facebook. We ride in PTA, with allot of rides starting from Rosemary Hill. We are Not a club, just a social group, with a fun bunch of people.

I was 141kg when I started, I am now on 121kg in about a year.

I have a big Nine Xt Edition. It is an awesome bike, bit heavy, but then for me, weighing in at 121KG the bike is awesome. Never had any issues with the bike, and handles very well. Only complaint i have, is the Mat Black paint, it shows scratches very quickly. i have done about 1500KM on it sofar. I am running tubeless now, so there are no issues in converting (Sold with non-UST). All in all, for a dik oke, im very happy with the bike.

And how true your prediction was !!

I think your best option might be to change it at registration when you collect. Not sure if you actaully can, but that would be your best shot, i think. Good Luck

I really enjoyed the 30Km Race. Nice single track. I managed a 1:56, after I stopped and offered a fellow cyclist a tube, about 10km in. The guy had nothing with him, no pump, no patches nothing. Will definitely do this one again.

Only a few days more to go ! Cant wait !

I Bought my Merida Big Nine XT edition from Cycle Lab, and financed it through BikeLife. Process took about 3 days, few forms to complete and sign. Interest is low, and I am happy. Quite frankly, reading some of the posts on here, My finances have nothing to do with anyone else. If this is the way that someone decides to buy a bike, why not ?

Have anyone received their race packs via Aramex as yet. Getting worried about it, not at the office tomorrow for the full day.
