I was around the corner from Let’s flow already on my way to Highway 61. The speed you seen at the end I think was more from let’s flow as you have to slow down for that sharp right hander. As I said it was a pedal strike at exactly the wrong time.

Hi, luckily this wasn’t my first or worst rodeo. I know what’s lying ahead. I have a God looking after me and yes sometimes you mess up and pay the price. Another month or so and I’ll be on Zwift again

My one wrist was worse as it was fixed before so the old stuff made it a bit of a challenge for the doctor. He believes it’s all good so then I’m happy

I’m all good under the circumstances. Had a great team effort from ambulance and rescue teams to get me down the mountain. Thanks to Dr Hardcastle , a fellow MTB guy I might add I’m all patched up. He had his work cut out for him but he’s happy with the results. It was a stupid pedal strike at exactly the wrong time so yes it is in just the blink of an eye and everything goes pear shaped. Thanks for the concern and ride on.

One of my guys that worked for me had a 29er with Shimano 520 pedals that he bought from me and started cycling weekends. Used it as a commuter also in the week with his work clothes on.

I have Quadiums and Slate, both uses Saint brake pads. For braking power on a tandem I would stick to Quadium though.

In short that is the cheapest way to go

I had the same problem in my kids bikes with Slime that I put in a normal tube. The normal slime like Stans are much better though. Can put in in via the valve with a bit of work. Tubeless still the best option if you can.

I had a MX, loved that bike. Full suspension in the 80's. Wish i could get hold of one.
