If you have the cash, buy a new bike or even as newish secondhand bike. I've been building up my bike for the last two years with some components from the hub and my LBS, but if I had saved up for a new one over the two years I would have had a pretty decent bike by now, but on the other hand wouldnt know anything on how to maintain my own bike. Just my 2c Goodliuck with the new bike
