  1. The Silverbacks are good value for money bikes. They provide a good starting point from which to build (upgrade), in my opinion. They have female versions of the entry level Oakland and Reno ranges.
  2. They have rubbering on the areas in contact with the car for protection. http://www.thule.com/Thule/ProductPage____82711.aspx http://www.thule.com/Thule/ProductPage____44293.aspx There are other brands available.
  3. Hi, Have you considered the strap on types? They work well and not as costly as the roof racks. They work on hatches and sedans, provided the sedan doesnt have a spoiler.
  4. Hi All, Im sure you get lots newby buying queries, so i'm hoping you can help a bloke out through one more. After doing my stint on a Makro special MTB, im looking to upgrade. My budget however is not that great. Im looking for something that has good components and that when i am able to upgrade again, won't require the purchase of a new bike. Apparently sportmanswarehouse had a special on the Mongoose Rocodile and Tayax Comp for R2200 and R2700 respectively. Others in the price range im looking at is the Silverback Reno and the Raleigh Ridge. Taking into account my requirement, which would you recommend? I would also consider good used MTB's that fall in that price range. Thanks
