No clear definitive answers then..... rather answer it this way based on the fact that I am an complete newbie to MTB and forget 26" vs 29" should I purchase Dual suspension or Hard Tail?

Bike shop did mention 650B, said that only certain shock types will have the clearance to fit them, example Fox Shox, a lot of the Rox Shox will not be compatible. My own argument is to follow that of vehicle OEM's eventhoug the discontinue vehicles they still manufacture spares etc. Same for 26" me thinks, they have been here since MTB came on the scene with gazillions sold all over, you can't just stop supporting that market?!

Hi Would like to know if this is true? Was at a bike shop during the week, as I am in the market for a new MTB, where the shop owner informed me that none of the bike OEM's have and 26" bike in their catalogues for 2013 and will only be producing 29" - hence his recommendation for rather purchasing the 29". I must admit there is very good pricing on 26" Dual Suspension bikes with good components at the momement that is equivalent to the same specs in the 29' Hardtail version. He suggested that a 29" Hardtail is equivalent, if not a little better, than its equivalent 26" Dual Suspension - obviously we are not talking the best in the range - I am looking to spend in the region R15-16K I am new to the sport of MTB (will be my first bike) so not sure what to purchase now? For interest sake the bikes in question were: 29": Momsen ALS29 R Type 26": Merida 120 Dual Suspension Feedback and comments on this will be much appreciated

Cool toppic. Suffered with the same problem after this years Ironman. Funny never had the problem before or during the race only in the weeks after the race. Was pretty bad could not cycle or run, if I did I could not bend my leg or stand up or sit down (right leg only) Had a cortisone injection right on the spot, and have not had any problem since. I am training for another I/Man no very long distances yet but building up - I just hope it does not come back. Good luck to everybody else suffering with this as this is a very painful problem to have if not sorted

Its cool. I understand. Also have my own business, been through this many times. If it was not for my Christian beliefs, I would definitely have used those guys many times....... have aslo been tempted many times!!! But I do believe that is not the can of worms that you would want to open! Anyway, as a small business owner I root for you man!

I know some guys that know some guys, that know some guys,that know some guys, that know some guys, that know some guys, that know some guys, that could help this problem of yours be "resolved"........ hahahaha just kidding. But still I don't know what it helps to post this in the Hub. It's not going to give you the money, it might have the adverse effect. Good luck either way
