  1. So basically Enduro and Gravity Enduro is the same thing in essence? Downhill is what we know Greg Minnaar to do And the Cape Epic and W2W is Endurance (Obviously)
  2. Thanks Now that I come to think of it..........that makes perfectly sense (referring to Grease_Monkey first post) The gravity enduro series (shuttling) also makes sense Think that's pretty clear should anyone else come up with anything we don't know Thanks
  3. Hi Guys I ride the Dirtopia enduros However, I have noted that there is a WP Enduro and Downhill series What exactly is the difference? And is there a difference between enduro and gravity enduro? Cheers
  4. Thanks I generally ride 1.7bar (25 psi) when going out in Tygerberg or so on, but this includes some flatter, less gnarley trails as well My sidewalls are pretty bomb proof so not too worried there Will give it a go at 1.6 bar and see Cool
  5. Hi Guys Can the enduro and downhill junkies just please tap into this question quick General preferred tyre pressure when riding enduro??? I have ARC27 29er wheelset with 27mm inner width Ride Onza Ibex 2.4 front and Specialized Purgatory 2.3 rear I weight 72kg and have 120mm travel front and 110mm travel rear (Pyga OneTen29) I know terrain obviously plays a huge role.......but for those doing Dirtopia enduros or generally enduro type riding...what should my pressures be? Or at least what should it be with some different terrain aspects such as rock, gravel, loamy forest etc.? Cheerz

  7. So I just entered the 54km Looking forward to some technical riding Anyone managed to get hold of the long route profile or map yet?
  8. Morning hubbers Need advice on tyre choice I started riding enduros and now combine it with shorter 40/50km mtbs. I have put on a onza ibex tyre on the front 2.4 for more agressive riding but not sure how agressive the rear should be. I would prefer a 2.3. Not too fussed about the weight I ride a pyga oneten 29. Weekends I genrally ride 30km rides mostly trails su h as Hoggekraal Welvanpas etc I have looked at Specialised Slaughter Maxxis Ardent or Specialised ground control What would you recommend? Also not looking to spend topend prices Thanks
  9. By the way, GR300 is now in the place of RECM200 Knysna Bull now covers the GR300 old spot Knysna really has some of the best riding
  10. Myself and the wife are going. Knynsa is a favourite.............flowing single track and forest jeep tracks Nothing technical really and nothing rocky GR300 full is 75km, 50km and 75km. Loads of fun The Lite is 60km, 50km and 60km. This is something every mountain biker should be able to ride with some level of skill and fitness Nothing like the Xterra......Grabouw is brutal
  11. With all the jabber going on.................. I would like to say Advendurance got it right this time round. Well marked route, good trails and some new trails. Good to see they added some new stuff, Grabouw can through the same stuff at you Water points were good, although there was no coke at water point 2 when I got there (33km 1h55min) The field was very fast They advertised 1 380m odd elevation, we managed 1 700m, good challenge but this needs to be more accurate. Likely I know the area so I was preparing for 1 500m at least. All in all very good ride Well done
  12. I would agree with this, lots of climbing in Grabouw, have done plenty races there At the end of the day guys, the calendar is full, just pick one and go ride!!!!!
  13. This looks nice Only downside is that it will most probably rain in June in that neck of the woods Maybe pop through for the Classic on the Saturday
  14. What an awesome ride Have done it in 2014 and 2015 and now again Its about 1 700m first day and similar day 2 Great trails, great vibe NJOY guys and gals
  15. My wife is also looking for accommodation Try Houdenbek cottages. About 40km away. We come through Houdenbek on day 3. Pretty awesome trails
