  1. So I just entered the 54km Looking forward to some technical riding Anyone managed to get hold of the long route profile or map yet?
  2. By the way, GR300 is now in the place of RECM200 Knysna Bull now covers the GR300 old spot Knysna really has some of the best riding
  3. Myself and the wife are going. Knynsa is a favourite.............flowing single track and forest jeep tracks Nothing technical really and nothing rocky GR300 full is 75km, 50km and 75km. Loads of fun The Lite is 60km, 50km and 60km. This is something every mountain biker should be able to ride with some level of skill and fitness Nothing like the Xterra......Grabouw is brutal
  4. With all the jabber going on.................. I would like to say Advendurance got it right this time round. Well marked route, good trails and some new trails. Good to see they added some new stuff, Grabouw can through the same stuff at you Water points were good, although there was no coke at water point 2 when I got there (33km 1h55min) The field was very fast They advertised 1 380m odd elevation, we managed 1 700m, good challenge but this needs to be more accurate. Likely I know the area so I was preparing for 1 500m at least. All in all very good ride Well done
  5. I would agree with this, lots of climbing in Grabouw, have done plenty races there At the end of the day guys, the calendar is full, just pick one and go ride!!!!!
  6. This looks nice Only downside is that it will most probably rain in June in that neck of the woods Maybe pop through for the Classic on the Saturday
  7. What an awesome ride Have done it in 2014 and 2015 and now again Its about 1 700m first day and similar day 2 Great trails, great vibe NJOY guys and gals
  8. Check die website - hillschallenge.co.za
  9. Entered, but have to withdraw due to wedding duties Really bummed, wanted to give those hills a go!!!
  10. Tough tough ride Nice and technical and lots of climbing Jisso......1350m at the 40km mark at the mast....rof my bru However, the water points were poor with no eats and no water left at water point 2 (mast) We arrived at the mast at around 3 hours, no water, no food And.......no burgers afterwards!!!! Otherwise, perfect day for riding, Grabouw always keeps me honest on the bike Groenlandberg was hectic climb, still thinking of coming back next year haha PS. Het Vrydagaand paar whiskys gedrink, dit het my bietjie gesink
  11. http://www.pedalpower.org.za/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/71-km-rRoute-with-elevation.jpg The route is revealed Good luck boys and girls - dit gaan tough wees
  12. Dirtopia is becoming really expensive these days PPA still best value for money in my opinion
  13. Kudos on this one Anyone have a route of last year perhaps?
  14. Well marked Good water points Tough route Loved it Have no idea about any bees?? Good work Trailseeker
  15. Could we enter just for the day? Day 2 preferrably We used to come do the one day eselfontein festival. Will this still be running?
  16. Something I am looking at doing. My partner moved to Bloem, so I might drive up and join him. Something different than the usual thing in the Cape (by the way we still have the best trails)
  17. There a few events for SA seeding in WC And I can do only one trailseeker this year, so need additional seeding events And this is in the W2W backyard.........
  18. Have to agree, no rain tomorrow and the drought effect will quickly soak up everything that falls today and tonight The track will actually be perfect, nice and grippy It is going to be cold, something like 0 degrees at the start Gooi mileies mense...............
  19. Entered and going all guns blazing as I need some seeding for W2W Your probably right then, if thats the case, I dont know where they are coming from See you all at the ride, gaan oop loop!!!
  20. I don't have a straight correct answer for you, but they are always more expensive Thats all I have noted especially when its seeding on a national basis Most probably the admin etc that goes into seeding everyone and timing etc.
  21. Firstly, it clearly says just email the lady with your reason why you could ride the 70km if you are not seeded accordingly Secondly, the fees are higher as this is a SA seeding race for W2W and the likes. Always more expensive to due the seeding Lees net so bietjie die websites
  22. Will be there, great ride as is every year!!!
  23. Ready for my first one!!!!!
  24. Costs? Is it team race or solo entries as well?
  25. According to the website this race will be an upgrade to previous years due to Stillwater Events taking over. I did this race in 2013 which was quite nice Hoping for an even better experience this year round. Using it for Gravel & Grape training Facebook page have estimates of 1 450m climb day 1 and 950m climb day 2 Will the Wilderkrans single track used for W2W be used in this race?
