    Sani2c 2015

thanks Iapa. i'm in the 910xt boat myself and had actually given up on trying to nav myself and told my partner its over to him. would be great if they can get it going let us know how it turns out cheers
  3. so its closed to normal riders? was hoping for a concrete, piet se pad, church loop. 7 start
  4. absolute loooong shot but does anyone know where i can purchase a pair of scott mind baggies? I'm in the Sandton/johannesburg area Thanks
  5. Thanks all. i thought it should be less groomed/slight tougher than sani (is thereanything more groomed than sani? tar?) i just didn't want to drag a spinning bike warrioir around something like hakahana or VG... that could get messy thanks again and GrantRH i might have to go swing by thaba and try that blue route
  6. there have been a few discussions around this type of question (so i'll prob get taken apart here) but: could anyone that has done the berg and bush pls let me know how technical it is? Now before i get crucified i think the best way to explain it would be in relation to another ride: i've done a few sani's, mtn's and trailseekers(vg and hakahana). so how technical is it in relation to one of those? reason for asking is that all my usual mtb compadres can't make it and i just want to know how it would treat someone with a little less confidence thanks
  7. mine got 1350m and a guy that finished with me had 1300 flat. both 910xt
  8. hi all wanted to know if anyone that has done this race before or that lives in nelspruit has some advice on acco for this race. whats a good place to book? There'll be 3 of us... we'll also be fighting it out for the lanterne rouge on the day thanks
  9. mng all does anyone know if the trails next to the river after greek church is rideable again. also is that bridge back up? Thanks
  10. knog usb rechargeable light its so bright - bet it keeps me safe it recharges - now i don't need to get new batteries everytime i forget to switch it off after a ride (i'm dead tired okay) but i GUARANTEE the silicone straps will snap after 2 weeks http://www.knog.com.au/product_images/503_13-02-2012_9451.jpghttp://www.knog.com.au/product_images/503_05-12-2012_8835.jpg
  11. mng all went out on sat morning and most of VG is in good shape. concrete, tant miemems, oom piets, church. all a little washed away and overgrown in places but in good shape. the trails near the river, as you are coming back to VG from the church, is completely washed away and a mud bath. both the wooden and floating bridges are no longer with us so either skip the church loop or track back along the river and get back to VG via the dirt roads. there could be other options that we have missed but thats all we found
  12. hi all. longshot but has anyone been out there recently, i.e after the rains, as i'm thinking of heading out early sat morning and just wanted an idea of the condition of the trails. i was thinking concrete, river, oom piets and the church cheers and thanks
  13. nice idea but not for me. little complicated and i'm pretty sure i have at least 3 different grips: 1) standing, 2) sitting, 3) moertoe
  14. seems shimano does not look kindly on this type of behavior. they changed the inner diameter of the bearings on my mtb so that i can't find it at a local bearing supplier (i tried 8 places) thus forcing you into their ever waiting arms cool thread. if someone mentioned this... apologies for the duplicate
  15. friends, Romans and cats that ride the mountain before work... I'm sure its stated somewhere in this thread (apologies) but how many times a week do you guys head out and on which days? also on that "fair" level of fitness... are we talking sub 3 argus? i'll be down in dec so i'm hoping the ride continues until then thanks
