  2. We did get the 2 traffic officers vehicle registratioons as well as pics of the officers who let the guy go. We are in the process of reporting to the authorities and to track down the actual driver who caused the accident.
  3. really sad to hear about cyclist in oudtshoorn, and its always a week before the argus when sh#t like this happens. Just yesterday one of our cyclist got taken out by a NAVY vehicle with no reg plates in front of simonstow SAPS!!! Ended up with broken arm and torn shoulder muscles. Worst part about whole situation was the traffic officers(cct registered vehicle) on the scene let the bas#*rd go. We then took fotos of their registrations and of them, then one officer still shows us the finger with both hands. And these are the guys that 'suppose' to protect us on the roads....
  4. because it wasnt gold stars........hehehe
  5. A bump like Tankman makes everything better
  6. your status increases on the amounts of posts you post, but a simple bump also constitutes as a post, so which means i can bump every item for sale in a forum and be a domestique by the end of the day. Wouldnt it be better or at least a true reflection if the buyer can rate the seller and in that way reach maximum status like on Bid or Buy. And also if u comments are rude or irrelevant then u lose a "star". Might be a long shot but could work coz some hubbers really think they are chip above the rest because of the amount of stars they have beneath their name. Just a thought!

  11. Hi Guys Need some advice on these wheels? I can get them for the same price but dont know which to go with. The reviews on the AC 420's say its a great wheel but has rear wheel flexibility for big okes above 75kg's and the EA70's dont have a weight restrictions. the AC's just look damn fine compared to the EA70's but most people i talk to rate Easton as the best on the market
  12. point taken.....but when it comes to cycling chat @ rides etc- u always hearing of weight , reaction time stiffness and durabliity of various brands so i just wanna find the best option. I havent actually researched Sram cranks...... worth a check
  13. Hi fellow hubbers and experts I currently ride witha FSA Energy crank and would like to know besides the 40g weight advantage in favour to a Dura Ace crank, what other differences are there if any between the Energy and Dura Ace cranks..... Are they actually directy camparable or does the FSA compare to something lesser such as an Ultegra crank.
  14. oh it'll got from CPT-PE.
  15. hey thats an idea that could work. Hey what will shipping cost- ive spoken to SAA Cargo and said they cannot give a quote as i have to box it in a bicycle box (stripped- frame and wheels on each side of frame) and then it gets priced on the volumetric size and not weight!!
  16. ok, much appreciated!!. Buyer says there's no-one that can conclude the transaction on behalf of him and vice versa for me. so best for him to carry risk as he wants the bike.
  17. HI Guys. Im busy selling my bike, but the buyer is from another city. What procedures regarding sending the bike and receiving payment do i need to follow for a safe and reliable transaction. its new to me and wanna know who carries the most risk as i do not want to send the bike without receiving payment and the buyer wont send the money without having the bike!! is there another way? or do we trust everyone on this site!!!
