  1. I got a second hand 4 bike Buzzrack a few years back and don’t see the need to upgrade (other than to maybe get a tilt function). With some preplanning I find we don’t need to access the boot too often. And when it’s critical we can send a ‘small’ in there with the back seat down but it happens very seldom. A universal complaint is that you can’t easily fit the number of bikes a rack is designed for on the rack. Not if you care about rack rash and components getting buggered at least. We used to take best part of an hour to get three mountain bikes on a four bike rack and had to adjust seat post heights and move handlebars. Even after setting it up so we knew what went where. So. Got a Thule Freeride and modified the fittings to fit on the roof rack. It’s a cage type rack so not just two bars. Now we load one on the roof and the other two in positions one and four on the rack. It’s a bit of an overkill but we’re on the road in five minutes and there is no chance of any of the bikes touching each other. Extra bonus is that we have space for mates bikes when needed. Good luck and let us know what you decide on in the end.
  2. Hey guys..... Thanks for the deal. I am not sure how to buy it though.... You offered an eThirteen 9/46 11Spd cassette and chain combo for R3400. Please advise.
  3. Niiiiice... Thank you. I don't see it on the site. How do we do this?

  6. Can't comment on the 11-46 but I got 2300km out of my Sunrace 11-50 with KMC chain and 34t oval chainring. There were no issues with it but I got a good deal on a new 11-50 Sunrace off the hub that someone bought when CWC had them on special. Fitted the new one for Transbaviaans and put the used one on my wifes bike. It is still going strong.
  7. I have just built one of these and these guys are on the ball. Comms were great and the quality seems pretty good too. It is my first carbon frame so can't compare it to anything. I've only done 50km so far but I'm super happy and like the way it rides. My order was placed on 2 Jan and shipped free with EMS. I received it last Thursday. This was in no way the sellers fault as it sat at Jhb Mail Hub for quite some time waiting for customs clearance. Once they got to it it went through without issue. It was then not able to be delivered as the lady who runs our very small in the sticks post office decided to take two weeks off to take her mother to hospital. Once I knew this I had it redirected to the next closest PO and collected it the next day. Only had to pay about R250 which I think was for Vat. Patience is important when waiting for delivery. However, when in short supply I found calling the PO customer care first thing in the morning most effective. Calling SA EMS is futile. Issues? One, the inside finish on the head tube is a little rough but does not effect the headset bearing seating and Not noticeable once these were in. Two, the shape of the frame seems slightly different to the pics on Ali. It's not a big deal but the top tube seems wider at the top and the area where the internal cables enter is shorter and more stumpy than the pics depict. Lastly, an Absolute Black oval 34T on an M8000 crank runs quite close to the frame with a single spacer on the BB. Not sure what circumstance will cause this to be a problem but I just noticed it. This is just some constructive feedback from my experience and to maybe set your mind ease if you are going this route for the first time. I would have liked to have heard this when I bought. Honestly though. At R2900 with the current exchange rate and free shipping it's a no brainer. PM me if you need any more detail.
  8. There is ReCycle operating in the Port Alfred area too. If the OPs stuff is still available (or anything else) I will happily cover the courier.
  9. Wish list. Wish list. A new one of these would be great. https://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/shimano-xt-rd-m8000-sgs-rear-derailer
