  1. I can get a few bushes from the Engineering firm that made for me. It will be about R150 a unit if anyone is interested. The original one I got is still on my Mavic rim and I think it did close to 15 000Km R.
  2. Lost a blue Garmin 800 on Winery road, Somerset West on morning of 23 December 23, direction Firgrove to R44. Thanks
  3. Hi I will contact the supplier and see what they can do. I suspect it will only be in the new year R. Willem
  4. The Mini does not have all the features of the other DJI drones ie. follow me I did some research before I bought the Mavic and although a bit expensive, it offers the best functionality available at that price point. You can get refurbished units from a number of Drone stores in SA for much less than a new with a 1 year guarantee, still as good as new. Do your home work before you buy and know what you are going to use it for. It is an expensive toy

  7. Got paid out for my frame. I only supplied them with a quote from the LBS to replace Got the frame repaired at my own cost and it was a build for someone else Not aware that they prefer Carbon repairs
  8. Only have good things to say about KP. They gave me the best premium and I have 2 cars insured with them. Have 2 bikes insure for R50K each Had a claim March last year for road frame that was cracked in an accident. They paid the full R50k minus excess. Had a right off on one of the cars last year April which was paid out fully. In October last year I fell with my MTB, cracked the steerer. Fork was paid out in 3 days. Had no issue regarding the bike that is worth more than the R50K it is insured for. Not an issue for me as I have paid much less for the bikes.
  9. More details: It is a Silverback Strada Silver with white lettering
  10. Found a Silverback MTB frame in busch behind Life Church in Somerset West If anyone knows the owner, please Pm me and I can put you in contact with the person that found it. He will take it to the SAP this afternoon
  11. I had a problem with my Mavic hub (road) The bush was worn quite badly and the hub had some damaged as well. A new Freewheel body did not do the trick duo to the wear on the hub it self. The rim was still in good nic so no scrapping! I ordered a replacement bush form the hub doctor but I also did some research on suitable material. I found a material, Vesconite is a very durable material and ideal for this application. It doesn't need much lubrication and does well when water manage to penetrate. I had a few made, some slightly smaller than the hub size. The first one fitted very tight and I had to take some material off to get it on. I took it off after just over 3000 Km to inspect and check it out. No issues and still within spec. The 2nd one has almost 7000 Km on it and still no issues. If anyone is interested to fix there Freewheel or for a spare, please feel free to contact me. I can send you one via post or collect in Cape Town. Cost is R130 + postage.

  15. Cut the strap between the 2 connector points. Trim each side slightly so they don't touch Problem sorted. The sweat is causing the material to conduct which is causing issues then with the sensor. Have been using mine for over the month with no issues. I had the same experience with HR, either not present or very low. I washed the strap as per recommendation but it only helped for a ride or 2 then back to the same issue. Search the internet for a few days until I got this and it works.
