  1. I have not personally had any issues as i don't park there, but you need to park outside the reserve quite far from the gate. Just doesn't look and feel safe to me. The circus is safe and secure, has good post ride coffee and killer pancakes !!
  2. Yip 7am and there is never a queue. But as already mentioned, its not a great idea to leave a car at the Kareekloof gate.
  3. Exactly what we do most Saturdays. The 13km to the gate is a great warm up and the 13km back to the circus finishes off the ride nicely.
  4. I see the PPA seeding is up for this years Jock Classique. Clearly its not correct as they have the winning time for Stage #2 as 18 minutes and Stage #3 even faster at 28 Seconds. I have also seen that ASG have seeded all three stages as one this year. Last year each stage was individually seeded.
  5. Jonathan (JMK1) just sorted my shifter problem out this week with utmost professionalism and fair pricing. I will definitely spread the word and continue to use him for all my Campy services and repairs. 100% solid chap and 100% recommendation from me !!
  6. I recently had a bike for sale on the Hub at a very reasonable price. After a verbal agreement with the buyer I must have received at least 5 calls from hubbers offering me more than I asked just for me to drop the first guy and sell it to them. My point is its not just the sellers on the hub that are sometimes unethical but the potential buyers on the hub that are equally to blame. Needless to say I kept to the original deal and although I lost out on a few extra $$, I sleep well at night.
  7. Normal sized kit bag is acceptable. Pack a change of kit if you are going to start out in winter kit as the third stage is significantly hotter than the first.
  8. Count me in. It might be a bridge to far, but I would rather blow up trying than not try at all. This is an offer "I" cannot refuse
  9. Anyone know where I can get the results of yesterdays "Emerald Cycle Challenge 2015" race ? It was not a chip timed event and was reportedly done by Performance Timing.
  10. I've heard that there is a road running race in the cradle on Monday that might have full road closure. Have any of you got details that can confirm or deny this as I was planning to ride the cradle on Monday. Thanks guys.
  11. I don’t think there would be a scenario of right and wrong but rather a matter of opinion. I would like to hear yours. I have a carbon frame and some of the white paint has gone a bit yellow. I believe it to be a common problem with the frame in question. The question I ask is if you think I should have it touched up (just the effected part) or rather leave it as is. The reason I’m nervous to touch it up is that when it comes time to sell and move to another frame, the re-spray could be seen as a cover up of a larger problem and the frame will be classified as re-sprayed. In light of some of the discussions currently in hot debate on the forum about re-sprayed bikes and frame damage cover ups I’m a tad nervous. Opinions please ladies and gentlemen ….
