I use standrd tyres (non ust) on standard rims (mavic 317).They are tubeless and done San2c and many other races on them. have fitted Michelin xc dry tyres and Maxxis crossmark (the ones with the steel wire in it, price R180 per tyre) On them. I havent had a puncture yet(used for 8 months now). I have the stans tubeless strip in them with some fibre reinforced tape under the strips to seal the spoke holes)

Had a great time. Did the sunday classic.First year with no wind on Sunday. I understand it blew like hell on Saturday. I think the new venue is great with lots of parking and Facilities.I will bring the family next year.The coarse was in my opinion an improvement on the previous 3 years.The Marshy sections and that silly portage up to the power lines were cut out. It was also great to finish on a fast mostly downhill section. On the single track i find the further one looks a head the easier it becomes to maitain a rhythm. I only saw 2 guys go over the hanble bars this yeas ,on the cliff edge this year. Both were hell of a funny to witness. Fortunately both guys were ok. Great turn out of riders.

Fantastic Single track, the best ever.Bridges were awesome, need a few more over the marshes at the back of lebanon. Roag was great , lets hope this systems stays for a few seasons.The whole weekend was a great testiment to all the organisers involved. My only critisizm would be for the 10km kiddies race. 1. When your kidds bicycle has 10" wheels and no gears cut Veld is very hard to cycle over 2.Please give the kids a medal or something for their achievements,Recognition means the world to these small kids and they are always so proud to show their friends and teachers at school. Well done to Roag and all the other organizers for a fantastic week end. i will be back in a few weeks to ride the single track again with a fresh body and mind
