  1. Mr Badsam. That is a very beautiful build indeed. Well done for taking the time to research the project. I gave up after years of trying to get those down tube bosses to work with various groupsets. I am glad the stem, bars, saddle, seatpost and frame are together again under one roof and looking better than ever. Those wheels look brilliant. You have inspired me to start a new build...
  2. Best find of the year. On this thread at least. ATMO. I am very sad that it is not sitting in my collection but am happy for Eric. A special bike in super condition.
  3. You are torturing me... this is what I need!
  4. That looks very nice "Ëddy".. must go for a ride soon....
  5. She is looking amazing Steve!!
  6. Morph. That is very very nice indeed. If anyone out there has a spare top cap for one of these Cinelli Ti stems please let me know. Mine is missing.

  8. Cannot wait to see final build Dan.
  9. Looking for an old Shimano Deore XT groupset (around 1987) for a restoration I am starting. Any components would help. Similar to pics attached:
  10. I got mine at Westdene Cycles in JHB.
  11. I used 700 x 28 "Gatorskin Hardshell" tyres for Tour of Ara 2014. Not one puncture... i can highly recommend them. The other popular choice was Schwalbe Marathon Plus touring tyres - a bit heavy but bulletproof. Both locally available.
  12. You could also try getting hold of Bill. He lives in Randpark Ridge JHB. Ron will have his tell number.
  13. i will take it thank you!
  14. Great shoes for anyone doing L'eroica
  15. Nice. (I would be keen if you decide to sell).
  16. That is such a clean build!! Seat post and seat could change ATMO..
  17. I raced this last year .... it was by far the best stage race i have ever done... Highly recommended! If it was not for the recent birth of my son I would be there again later this month.
  18. Great article!!
  19. Warning. Dont try buy this Eddy Merckx Arcobaleno on Gumtree: http://www.gumtree.co.za/a-sports-bicycles-fitness/grahamstown/road-bike/1001386143510910755693209 It is a scam. Same bike is for sale on Ebay in Spain: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Eddy-Merckx-Arcobaleno-from-1996-55cm-Columbus-Neuron-Near-mint-road-bike-/331626430143?hash=item4d3679bebf
  20. Nope, not the actual bike Coppi road. This one is from 1953 and is the same model he rode that year when he won the TDF.
  21. Locked up outside Sandton Convention center during 94.7 registration /expo 2 years ago. I left a note with my number. I got a call a few weeks later.
  22. 1953 Bianchi (same bike that Fausto Coppi rode in the TDF that year). Frame was unfortunately resprayed in the 80s by the previous owner. I now have all the parts and bike is ready for assembly.
  23. My De Rosa restoration so far: Before pic of bike as I found it: Just finished respray and new decals:
  24. Hey Warren Nice bike you found. I am sure I have some hoods for you. Will look tomorrow.
  25. Favorite crank!
