  1. Ok, so what do we do now? The extended the deadline, doesnt really solve the problem I have tried every network possible, nothing is working. Do I have to request a refund? What a complete hassle has this process been so far.
  2. My first MTB - Giant XTC 29er Has taken me to amazing views this year!
  3. Has anyone contacted someone at CTCT? Not via email as that has proved to be useless. I have tried phoning but no answer.
  4. This is the response I got from them: "Good day Barry, I trust my email finds you well! Are you connecting to the internet from a Vodacom ISP? If so, please try to access the link from a non-Vodacom ISP. We have been notified that Vodacom ISP’s are experiencing difficulties connecting to the site as their DNS settings are not correct. We unfortunately have no control over this. We apologise for the inconvenience. If you are not connected Via Vodacom and you are still experiencing issues, please let us know exactly what the issue is. Regards" Tried it, still not working. Well done CTCT management, real professional organizing.
  5. Links are broken, haven't been able to complete this. Total mess.
  6. Which cables would recommend and what would be the difference?
  7. Good day What cables would work with SRAM XO shifters? Need for both front and rear Derailleurs. Will this work? http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/alero-gear-inner-cable-nano Regards
  8. De Bruyn is his name, Joubert his surname. We are friends from school, he is one crazy dude, the stuff he has seen is amazing, he estimates his trip will be 85,000km in total. I am sure he will be able to give advice to any long distance biker in this forum.
  9. We are doing the hike this weekend! Didn't know there is a road going up to the top?
  10. There is a guy that has cycled over 35,000 km through 4 continents (Australia, Europe, Asia, North America) He has a facebook page, contact him, I am sure he will be able to give you all the info you need about long distance bikes. His page name is "Around 7 Continents", pop him a message he will be able to help! Regards
  11. Do you have to wear a heart rate monitor to be able to track your heart rate with this watch? Also, what is the battery life in GPS mode? Will it survive a 14km (8 hour) hike? Are you able to upload data from Garmin Connect to Strava?
  12. Thanks for all the help. I see the vitality points and membership as a challenge, not really fussed about the fees at the moment. Each to their own when it comes to what medical aid you use probably. In the end becoming more healthy is what matters.
  13. Good day I have read that it is possible to connect your STRAVA account to your Discovery Vitality and earn points on all the data uploaded? Do I need to have a premium account to do this? Regards
