  1. It is. I bought is about 5 years ago and I have used it on multiple build experiments with no issues. I even used it on a 29" frame with a custom spacer to correct the geometry and it took the beating on downhill trails.
  2. Had a 26" Sintesi frame laying around and a test LTWOO A7 drivetrain.
  3. 26" Mountain bike Sunn Tonic Frame 700c Campagnolo Scirocco Front 700c Giant EXT Pro Rear Conti 700x35 cyclocross tubeless beaded tyres SRAM X5 front 2 speed Truvativ isoflow crank with 28/38 chainrings rear single speed 16t Richey Carbon Bar Ritchey Stem Ricthey grips Selle Italia xcross saddle
  4. Finally took it out for a ride with ratios 28/38//16. Mainly did foot paths in my neighborhood. Sure is nice having a single speed with a climbing gear.
  5. Almost done!!!!!! Should take it out for a first ride next week. Just need some cyclocross tyres and brake calipers.
  6. I have to start afresh. My project bicycle got stolen. I have managed to reprocure some part and will return to tests this weekend. I found a 2 cog SS tensioner that I'll use for this with a 32 and 36t from chain ring.
  7. Stolen: KHS XC204 2010 When: 27 January 2017 Where: Olifantsfontein, Gauteng Perps broke sliding door and took 2 bikes in less than 2 mins. Get further details about the incident in the Stolen Bikes section
  8. Stolen: GT Custom 2013 When: 27 January 2017 Where: Olifantsfontein, Gauteng Perps broke sliding door and took 2 bikes in less than 2 mins. Get further details about the incident in the Stolen Bikes section
  9. I already have a 1x1, 1x8, 1x9 and 1x11. Less me finding a single speed (long cage) tensioner, I'll prolly have to hack an old cheap derailleur. It's purely for awesome beer consumption in the workshop. Hipsters liking it and upgrading my status would be a bonus.
  10. The basis of all derailleur gearing systems is on the chain line being messed up.
  11. Hi, I have a SRAM X5 2 speed front derailleur lying around and I'm thinking of popping it on a Sunn tonic single speed to make me a 2x1 thingy. Anyone ever tried this?
