Frikken coolest ride/race of the year. What makes it so awesome is that it's not just about balls & technical skill of DH or strength and fitness of XC it's an all round combination of both (true MTB at it's best). Not only was it the funnest time you can have on knobblies, there was also a great vibe amoungst the riders, despite the weather and a few hangovers. We even got treated to some lekker local chicken braaied by the owner himself Uncle Greg. Will definately be back with all my peeps!

When you say bush tunnels are there more than just the one that I road on the green route? That thing is wicked!!!!!!!! It feels like you're surfing a tube.

Yeah, I was at Mankele this weekend. What a superb place. We did the red & green routes, which have really big testing climbs. But you've gotta go up to come down. It was well worth the climb, those are some of the best flowing singletracks, boardwalks & bush tunnels I've ever seen. Go to www.mankele.co.za to get up to speed!!!!!

Hey Mankele, do you have any more route info,eg. how much of the same route will we ride each day, distances?

Is that R3600 per team or per rider? Some stage races are R3200 and all you get is a sticky bun, no meals or tents.
