Hi there Was wondering what the quality difference is between the Sram and Shimano cassette's. I currently ride an 11-32 and was wanting to get an 11-34 for climbing. I noticed that the entry level Shimano is the same price as a mid level Sram. I have an SLX crankset, XT derailleur and XT chain....could I use an Sram cassette?

Hi there Quick question...how often would one need to replace their chain on MTB. I just replaced my LX derailleur with an XT, and the guy at my LBS said my chain was stretched to the max and needed replacing, he showed me with the Park Tool chain gauge. My bike has only done around 660km of which 500 has been hard riding. Have replaced with an XT chain.

Hi there, this is not product bashing, so here goes, Currently wanting to upgrade my MTB and have two options, SRAM X9 group set (RD, FD and shifters) or Shimano XT (RD, FD and shifters). All else on the bike is the same.

Quick question, excuse my ignorance. On a shock, you get various "set" travels eg 80/100/120mm. One can put a spacer in a 120mm and reduce the travel to 100mm. Can the reverse be done, ie, turn my 2010 Reba SL 100mm to a 120mm travel?

Yes I do! Where I live, it is a popular cycling area due to the lack of taxi's. Yet on any given morning on my way to work, and in the evenings on my return, the roadies are riding there 3-4 abreast, and do not budge when cars approach. Unacceptable!! I don't mind if they ride next to each other....if there are no cars approaching, otherwise ride in single file.....otherwise suffer the consequence of road rash. .......and we have a cycle path, which the MTB's manage to ride on.

I have no time for A#SEH#LES like this, they wonder why they get knocked over.....trust me, they don't own or rule the road

Hi all, I recently upgraded my front fork/shock to a 2010 Reba Dual air, I use to ride with a Dart 2 which was a spring shock. My question is, how often does one have to pump/check an air shock. I pumped mine on Saturday, did a race on Sunday, checked my pressure yesterday, I had lost half the air in the bottom chamber

I am currently riding a 2007 Scott Reflex 35 full suspension, and love it. I would like to get myself a new bike and was looking at the following: Scott Genius 50, Merida 96 and a Giant Trance X2, does anyone have anything to say about which is good, bad or ugly? Thanks Craig
