  1. I was standing next to the bike smith guy when he removed the 10spd and 11spd cassette and he had to use a slightly smaller tool. The difference is so small the you wouldn't be able to tell if its a 9/10 or 11 speed tool with the eye. Its like 1mm smaller. But i think only some of the 11spd's requires a smaller tool, i mean i looked at the lock nut and i couldn't see any reason why they couldn't make the lock nut slot the same size as those used on the 9 and 10spd's So for me the only conclusion is; some 11spd's are the same size as the 9 and 10's. And some requires a 11speed only lock nut tool. No rights and wrong answers here; this may just be a 2c worth the next time you buy a new cassette.skaduwee2009-08-27 15:00:06
  2. Ok problem solved.. Campagnolo 11 speed requires a smaller Lock nut spanner. The spanners used on the 9 and 10 speed will not fit.
  3. Ok im quickly taking the wheel to the bike shop.. ill give you guys an update when i get back.. thanks for all you guy's 2c.
  4. The one we used looks like the shimano tool in this picture.. but the weird thing is that it fitted on my campy cassette
  5. No dont look at the tool, that wassnt the same too as whe used.. the picture it just so that everyone knows what im talking about... Im going to the local bike shop and ask them to try and take it off.
  6. They both have Campagnolo? on it, But on the 11 speed chorus it say "11 Speed Only Lock".
  7. No handed wheelie backwards with someone standing on your shoulders.. wtf? thats just mad.
  8. Ok so that just leaves me with; The local bike shop fitted my wheel with a shimano lock. Its almost lunch.. time to give them a visit.
  9. Does campy need its own tool?? What i think the problem is why the spanner fitted on my 10 Speed Centaur and not on the 11 Chorus (I dont even know if this is possible but ill give it a try) When i had my 10 speed Centaur cassette fitted to my wheel they used a SHIMANO lock nut on my campy cassete.. and last night we had a "Luck nut spanner" and it fitted on my wheel but not on the 11 Campy..
  10. No one with an answer?? Ok to make it more interesting... the spanner fitted on a 10Speed Centaur cassette but not on a 11 Speed Chorus.. I have a question.. Does shimano and campanolo use the same lock nut spanner?
  11. Last night we tried to remove an 11Speed Chorus cassette from a set of wheels i bought. The Lock nut spanner diddnt fit into the the lock nut?? why??
  12. Pics to come soon.
  13. I still have a alu bike but its pretty light, it weighs less tha some carbon bikes.
  14. You need to fix the flat tire
  15. When going slow your nose alone will be enough. But once your HR goes up your blood requires more oxygen so then you breathe through your nose an mouth at the same time. Just try to take deep breaths instead of short fast ones, especially on climbs.
  16. I think your wrong' date=' with leg length they mean inseam. 1)For most people the inseam * 109% is slightly too high. And you want to tell me you want to multiply the LEG LENGTH by 109%??? 2)Why would they post a tutorial on how to set saddle height when it requires X-Rays. That just doesnt cut it for me im sorry.[/quote'] ? Let's see what does cut it: Are you using the Rivendell method of inseam measurement? Are you measuring to pubic symphysis or soft tissue? Are you aware that the original studies (before LeMond and used by Eddie Borysevich in the early seventies) did in fact use 106 - 109% of full?leg length measurement? Are you aware of the actual difference in measurements between pubic symphysis?and greater trochanter? ? As I mentioned earlier, measurements are imprecise, formulae for achieving saddle height even more so. I suggested seeing a decent, qualified fitter. Your choice I suppose but measure and multiply as much as you like - it is just a general ballpark?and forms a small part of an overall bike fitting. Take your LEG LENGTH and multiplay that by 109%, then post the pick so whe all can have a laugh at your hips rocking like a hippo.skaduwee2009-08-17 00:26:55
  17. I'm a roadie. I don't support the whole "lets ride in the middle of the road crap". But in some cases its more safe to ride in the middle of the road blocking the cars behind you from passing its for my own safety, don't give a ****what people behind me thing. I ride in the middle of the road over speed bumps or approaching a traffic circle and around it. You get these dumb motorists that try to go around the traffic circle at the same time as you do and you end up going off road or hitting the curb. I try to ride as out of the way as i can. At circles, bumps, etc. the cars behind me can wait then its my turn. Have a great evening.skaduwee2009-08-16 12:17:37
  18. Whats with the name calling, are you 10 or what?
  19. 5 page thread and this has gone exactly nowhere. If there is no space for a car to pass then he simply has to wait, and they do that without making a scene They pass when its save (Atleast most of them). Every now and then you get this crazy idiot with his city golf that deserves the middle finger. If they want to ride in the middle of the road then who cares? Its their lives not yours.
  20. You should have a look at the TACX Roller EcoTrack. They are the basic version of the TACX Antares roller shown above. One of these would retail close to R2000. Or for almost twice the money you can get the TACX Antares roller with only main usefull difference is that the bars can slide into eachother to pack away easily.
