Switched from smoking to vaping. Havent touched a smoke for 3 weeks and no desire at all.
If you are struggling to quit consider a switch to e-cigarettes!
Hi,
Does anybody else have one of these?
Feedback/comments?
Mine stopped working on a ride this weekend - is there anyway to lock it into the "up" position?
Thanks
Rob
I had the same issue but the headset adpter and new bb were small fry compared to the issues other people have just getting the frame guarantee sorted. Be glad Dragon honour these warranties, most of the other guys seem to do everything to avoid replacing the frame!
Thanks Foe,
was hoping to find someone who has done this sort of thing before and can give advice. Also interested in kit advice and how to carry. ie panier bags vs backpack etc. I know the freedom guys go backpack but I am not keen to do any major hike-a-bike so this may change things.
Hi,
I would like to do a 2/3 day self-sufficient (ie carry all your stuff) MTB route in the Western Cape. The idea is to no a "mini" freedom challnge like weekend route, with full self sufficiency and camping in the evening.
Around 50km per day riding etc. Decent camping spots in the evenings. and not central camp site with routes but rather one longer (ideally circular) route.
Anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks
Rob
Put a 140mm fork on your trance.
The 2012 trance x0 comes with a 125-140 adjustable as standard.
The Epic has definately lost it's sole - I did 2004, 2006 & 2007 and could see a change over the years already - in those days it was an adventure - to ride from Knysna to Cape Town off road - you achieved something - now it's a slog in my "own back yard" with the organizer trying to get as much money out of the event and to have as high a drop out as possible. In those years entries sold out in a matter of hours and were snatched up if they became available again. If you want a race with sole, value for money and a truely warm fuzzy feeling - do the Sani2c !
I didn't know there were any fish involved on the epic?
How do you race against a sole?
thule make nice ones too
Actually I prefer complete transparency.
Give me the lowest price for the bike and basic setup and then if I want "extras" I will pay for them.
I am happy to shop around for tubeless, pro-setup etc.
Also when I buy a bike I want everything that came in the box. Don't hide the shock pump etc then try to sell me one.
As said before - find the right bike shop.

moonbag - yes well I guess pushing the bike back is not so bad after all
patches - my office near majik and I often whip out for a quick round at lunch. dont want camelbak cause a pain for such a short ride.
Hi guys,
Just got a dropper seatpost and realised it means my saddle bag wont fit?
Where do you carry spares an stuff on a bike fitted with one?
Dont want to use bottle cage as this is specifically for shorter rides where I dont take the camelbak?
Any suggestions??
Been some attacks at Majik a while ago.
Havent heard of anything at tokai.
Contermans would require a fairly dedicated criminal ;-)
Road or Mtn? I'm looking for road as well.
Do mtn bikers ride in groups?

There is plenty of steal bikes in SA!!
why my anthem was stolen two weeks ago!
In photography there is a saying:
"Amateurs worry about equipment, pros worry about money, masters worry about light."
I'm sure there is a parallel for cycling!
Oh the seatpost where it attaches to the saddle. Now i get it...I had 1 of those. Broke during a race and i had to cycle without a seat post. 6km later i gave up..hard to finish a race standing on a bike .Once the saddle is gone it's difficult to balance. Why didnt u say so in the first place.
To be fair I had the same problem with my anthem seatpost - had to replace it with a thompson.
I agree the single bolt design on the giant seatpost was a stupid idea.
As an aside I dont think this guy's grammar is really relevant here - I assume English isn't his first language.

Yes - you vapourize a liquid that contains nicotine.
Nicotine however hasnt been shown to be particularly bad for you and is not a known carcinogen.
So basically you get the fix without any of the bad stuff found in cigarettes.
