A Little more on Eselfontein MTB Festival: We have been running this festival for 24 years. This is a Festival held for charity, all working and helping is doing this giving their time, except the farm workers as marshals and the ladies cleaning the ablution and showers. We cap the amount of riders on the 3-Day Stage race to 400, as the Eselfontein MTB trails is mostly single track. With this said, this is the part that keeps Eselfontein exclusive. Please help with the Event Date. Pioneer is 1 October 2024 and Wine to whales at the end of October. We are thinking 11-13 October 2024 - but would really like it not to clash again with other important races - like the Durbie dash and Weekend Warrior, but cant seem to find a date for them for 2024?

We are excited about the proceeds we have made with the 2023 MTB Festival. R170 000 – WE DIDN'T DO BADLY AT ALL for such a "little" Festival! The proceeds we have made with the 2023 MTB Festival has already been given to the 5 Institutions (Schools and Old Age Homes) we support. Each of the 5 institutions received R30 000 This year the number of participants was ± 100 less than last year, as were the "spectators" on the day. We are not yet full in numbers as we want to be, but there are some new options that we want to look at and decide on for next year. 2 things that is true for 2024: 1. Entry Fees will stay the same 2. We are bringing back the R30 000 prize money for the track record breakers – THIS MUST BE DONE AS A TEAM! AGAIN, thank you so much for all of your contributions and help and support. Without all our supporters, this Festival for Charity would not have been possible. Due to the heavy rains this year (again and again and again), we had a lot of work that was done to the tracks (again and again and again), but ESELFONTEIN is RACE READY !! You might find 1 or 2 new turns, a new bump or two but we hope you enjoy the tracks as much as every other year ! We have extended our Entry closing date with 1 day. Enter now: https://www.entryninja.com/events/79080-eselfontein-festival This year it will be Eselfontein’s 22nd annual MTB festival and, in true spirit, we are once again hosting an exciting 3 Day stage race and trail run, where funds will be raised and contributed to various charitable organisations such as our local old age homes AND schools. The 2022 event has raised approximately R220 000 of which R212 000 was donated to the organisations. This is a family event and also CSA sanctioned.

To all our supporters We are excited to share with you, that the proceeds we have made with the 2022 MTB Festival has been so successful and already been given to the 5 Institutions (Schools and Homes) we support. Each of the 5 institutions got R40 000. Ceres Home received an extra R12 000 specially raised for their Dementia and Alzheimer's ward. For that, we thank Ds. Jandre Viljoen and his team. We did decide to distribute as much as possible to each institution equally – 2022 and the year to come will be a difficult financial time for all and for these institutions that rely on Donations.
