  1. anyone know what was the fastest time done on a mountain bike WITH nobbies?
  2. hi does anyone have and willing to share the Attakwas Mini 52km route for Garmin please
  3. I stay in Durbanville. if you or anyone is looking for someone that is happy to ride between 4am to 6am in the week, im in. family and work commitments prevent me from riding later . cheers
  4. ive done it as well a few times from Durbanville to Langebaan. Always done it through table view onto west coast. it can be dangerous at times so one must have your eyes all over but if you have back up vehicle its fine. If you go via malmsbury to hopefield go the back way of Malmsbury . the road into malmsbury ( N7) still been rebuilt and its a mess. and lastly pick a day with the wind behind you otherwise you going to k@k ....enjoy. also great when you have a buddy with you
  5. i dont have one but my mate does and its excellent value for money. some of the features better than garmin in my view. How much more does one really want or need?
  6. Perfect! I have all the relevant stuff. im more interested in seen what the actual roof rack looks like . I have the bike rack as you presented, so thank a ton for your help.
  7. by the way ...you don't perhaps have a photo of what it looks like to show me please ?
  8. Thanks a mil. will look into that . oke at Thule was saying I have to drill hole into the racks to hold the bike racks .....so hopefully his talking k@k
  9. hi all Recently bought a Ford Ecosport Ambiente . Went the Thule way but they said no go - must buy a Ford rack and then it still must be modified so the Thule bike mounts can go on top. Any of you have the same car but sorted the racks out? if yes , are they expensive ( price ). Based in Cape Town. and no I don't have a towbar. cheers Mike
  10. Fork yes !!! lol is it expensive to buy all the consumables ?
  11. How difficult is it to service by yourself this type of shock at home, what would one need and where would one go to buy the kit ( cape Town).
  12. just some free advice. take warm clothes with and plenty light to last you. I unfortaunitly bombed out on Bergplaas and got a free IV in the arm to sort me out , so race over. A lot of corrugated sections and long. River crossings wasn't to bad ( up until Bergplaas). Fang 2 and MAC was hard....very hard. the one section there was little laaitjies who wanted to "assist" you up the hill and while they pushing you, stealing what they can. There was a number of cyclists who had there back lights pinched. So if they don't hear the first time , a good PK always works. Organisation of everything was tops. There was earlier a question of whether the organisers check ie space blankets etc. Take the neccassary. if you develop mechanical or your body temp drops , you on your own. so don't be braveheart. Very nice race but its hard. Lack of training makes it harder. Go out and enjoy. Great vibe, people and experience plus the views and scenery . Coming back next year to tame this monster
