  1. thanks i was contemplating a compact or normal and maybe a triple ....now i will def got with a compact and then closer to the time maybe a triple. thanks a ton for the assistance, for a extra 5grams i think a triple might be best to carry incase of an emergency, esp as we dont have really big hills here in South africa.
  2. ha ha thanks i waited woke up early on the morn waited and ....jumped in and even then i battled to log in and buy ....i was number 500 in the que in a matter of minutes of opening. lucky to get one. i have cut my weight down from 70 to 60kgs and looking like Andy ....now I just need to climb like him! very nervous for galibier watching the TDF finish in superbesse then off to the alps to ride le tape then ......beer and more beer in Nice.
  3. I was preferably looking for someone in JHb who I can get tested with, check weight, power progress etc little diificult if he is in PE
  4. Dear All, I am a Argus D group rider nothing to hard core but I have been hunting high and low to find a cycling specific pro trainer in JHB north area preferably to get me fit enought to tackle le tape du tour 2011 and especially my climbing legs as we get to tackle Col du telegraph, col du galibier and Alp du huez in 109 kms of pain. I have emailed Rob Mackintosh 4 times and he still hasnt got back to me so I doubt he is the man i am looking for. I have looked at a couple of others however they are just 'trainers' with little cycling specific knowledge and in depth experience to measure lactate threshold, power training etc. Does anyone know of a trainer or can help?
  5. thanks will def check it out. are these all legitimate bike retailers and manufacturers?
  6. never been before and dont actually have a clue where i am going or what to do, mate is having a wedding there so off for a week, personally would rather be watching the TDF. shout if u have any ideas of places to ride or things to do.
  7. I am going on a trip to Thailand on the 6th of August 2010, Bankok and Phuket. Nerveos of ordering over the internet as dont want to be scammed. regards, Scampman
