  1. I just want to know how it is possible that GL can get rolling road closure for the Tour de Boland, which was over 3 days and in the Paarl area, but PPA cannot get rolling road closure for the same area??
  2. Just a quick overview in today's leaque ride where all the elite riders were disqualified for crossing the white line. The race was called off after just 10km, allthough the commisaire decision was fair to cancel the race? His actions was not. The commisaire raced to the front of our bunch and slammed on his breaks in an attempt to stop the race. The whole front of the race nearly crashed into the vechile and one rider rode into the side mirror smashing it completely off. I think the commisaire actions was completely reckless. Maybe they need to take a leaf out of Hendrik Lemmer's race book about how to control and marshall a race.
  3. Well done, on a well organised event
  4. Tour de Eden all over again!
  5. Read the book "From Lance to Landis", an eye opener about what has been happening in the Tour de France.
  6. Marius there was 3 PPA leaque comitee members in our bunch......
  7. Dick, this is how easy it should be: 1 offence - 1st warning for crossing the white line. 2nd offence - disqualification right there Attacking on the right hand side of the road - disqualification
  8. As I understand it, the primary role of Wednesday's meeting is to give feedback as to where we're at in the unification process with CSA, to discuss some proposed constitutional changes, to look at options around the seeded numbers, and talk about the membership renewal date (ie a very general meeting). Having said that, most of the PPA ExCo members will be present, and the portfolio convenors will present a short feedback on his/her portfolio, or answer questions around the portfolio. While the leagues are therefore not an agenda point as such, I am sure that questions asked in this regard, would be answered. I am, however, not sure that a detailed discussion would take place at this stage, as PPA has requested a meeting with the officials before the next league event to talk about the finetuning of the process, including procedures on the day. As this meeting will take place only after tomorrow's general meeting, no detailed feedback will as yet be available for the general meeting. This is the correspondence from PPA. The riders should have representation at this meeting between PPA and the comms, look what happened after the last meeting they had............Malmesbury.
  9. smartass!
  10. Dick, I agree with the white line rule, but what happened at the Malmesbury race was just wrong. The way the comms made this race sound was like the Tour De Winelands, where the guys should have been disqualified. Popeye, we had 3 PPA leaque comitee members in our race and they did not even know what the comms was on about. You cannot compare this to Mykonos race a few years ago.
  11. Popeye, jy het geen idee waarvan jy praat nie. Kry eerder die feite voordat jy kommentaar lewer.
  12. Dick, did you ride the Malmesbury race?
  13. What do they mean???? How did they then address the appeals for the Malmesbury race? PPA liga wedrenne is nie sodanig gegradeer nie en daarom is wedren-verslae nie verpligtend nie.? You need SACF licenses to race the leaque, right?
  14. Anyone know about Darren Lill and David George, are they racing here untill February or are they leaving for overseas before the first leaque ride?
