  1. I haven't received my shirt, I think it's been lost in the post
  2. Lol! Exactly my thoughts! It was my first Durban race, and was told by everyone that it was easy compared to midlands, PE or East London. Look out for a PB, they said! Having done 05:18 in Midlands, I hoping for a sub 5!!!! Well... not exactly... I AGAIN got a spot on 05:18. I blame the wind.... and transitions from HELL. Lol! Seriously, it was a good race. No complaints. Well done to everybody who completed, or even just pitched up.... there was a lot of open bike spots.
  3. As said, yesterday was slower than usual, but can confirm that it could be (partly) due to the fact that the swim was NOT 1900m. Everybody I know, including some past pro's, clocked in around 2100m. So that's around 10% more, making for an extra 10% in time too. It was fun though!
  4. Well done!! to everyone who participated in IM this weekend. what an awesome day it was!!
  5. LOL, it must be an Alberton thing... this week I've also got aches and pains that I can't explain
  6. Well done!! to everyone who participated in IM EL this weekend. I was number 1184. I enjoyed the swim and bike but suffered severely on the last 10 km of the run with non stop cramping. I'm still very happy with a 5:45 but next time I think I need to pay more attention to my pace and nutrition.... overall, what an awesome race!
  7. Hi Andreas Thank you for your reply, What tubeless rims and sealant are you using?
  8. Good afternoon and happy new year! Over the past few rides, I've been experiencing a lot of punctures. I want to buy new rims and am considering tubeless, any opinions?

I did the ultra 70.3, the race was tough! Either way I enjoyed every minute of suffering:) for my first 70.3 I managed a 5:18... I'm quite chuffed and I'll definitely do it again.
  11. I agree 100%. I'm also doing my first Full IM in April, so I've been giving this a lot of thought too. Psychologically I decided I needed to prove it to myself that I could do it. This "brick wall" phenomenon at 32 km had me worried. Just finished the Soweto marathon on Sunday and can confirm that as long as you put in the time equivalent you should be fine- at least that was my case. I was up and about with my normal training within 48hrs.
  12. I entered and purchased it as a package deal.
