  7. Hi all People and poeple I am very happy to see that loads of people enjoyed the evening! It was a fun evening. Jackie, i enjoyed the points system that was used for the interclub seriers. yes the faster guys and gals had to win by far to get points! but it really encouraged me and some of my fellow cyclist to know that we are worth something for our club and that the points all counted! Sorry faster guys but for a not so fast person i scored some points for my club and was not close to the front! It is however a "fun" event and all the good cyclist get recognized every other weekend at all the local races! good booster for all the slower guys!!!
  8. Well done CGC! it was a great event! That was my point!
  9. I get your point, i would have been more rewarding for them to advertise themselfs,it is just strange that we were notified via our club and regular emails were forwarded to us from our club wich they recieved from cgc. should we not look at the clubs that are supposed to have all their members details and regular mails being sent out, rather than always blaming CGC. I may sound in favour of CGC, but just see there effort and feel that they always get shot out of the air and really feel that they went way out to make it a great cycling awards and social event! If our club was informed about this on a regular basis i am sure all the clubs were on the same mail. Maybe they only favoured some clubs??
  10. Hey dirt rider, i think you are blaming the wrong poeple!! Our club informed us of the event! Wich club do you belong to?
  11. I saw it on their web site some time ago!! My club also informed us about it as my son won an award!! i am a proud dad and my son was very proud too!! loads of kids and parents could have felt the same way if they were there!! It was a big deal!!
  12. Well done!!! It looks like South Africans must take the law into their own hands as the SAPS do not really care!! it may only be a petty crime to them but at the end of the day it is our lives and our families lives at risk!! Shoot them up!!!
  13. Hey Guys and Gals. I am sad to say that i belong to CGC ( central gauteng cycling ) as a cyclist today!! i read that they would have a prize giving for all of there cyclist at the end of the year!! truth be told they had one and i made sure that i went there. I am shocked how little poeple actually attended this function!!! i ride in the morning and see thousands of poeple that all belong to the CGC. SOOOOO many poeple did not pitch up to collect there prizes and gold medals!! it is sad to think that we as cyclist would not attend such a great function put together by poele who are always under the blade for critisism!! I have heard many poeple complain about R75 that they had to pay to CGC and what the CGC did for them?? Well all can be sure that the CGC waisted all that money on a great show and prizegiving and most of the poeple did not attend!!(great for all who went) My question though is how where poeple supposed to know about such an event?? Was it supposed to be driven from a club point of veiw?? Even the big clubs did not attend this, ones who are supposedly all for the good of cycling!!! There were also loads of athletes that did not recieve there medals!! Did they not know about this or are they just not interested?? These are only thoughts and questions!!!! Any Takers?? Regards Willem
