There are search teams that still go out daily and posters have been placed all over Linden and Northcliff. PLEASE ALL CYCLISTS KEEP AN EYE OPEN FOR HER.

SHE IS A RESCUE DOG FROM A PUPPY MILL AND IS NERVOUS OF CARS AND PEOPLE... POSTER ATTACHED WITH HER PHOTO... AND DETAILS IF SHE IS SPOTTED.. PLEASE ALL CYCLISTS IN THAT AREA HELP TO BRING HER HOME...
i was advised that the police offered security at the Sondela race but the organisers did not want them around. as a result 3 cars were stolen and 3 bicycles.. there were no car guards at all on the saturday but they decided to get full on security for the second day of racing on the sunday.... " a bit of after the horse has bolted" if you ask me. This was in Bela Bela an ASG race
was at the farm to ride again this morning and its just such a beautiful place.. how many places so close to Jhb city are there still monkeys in the trees... and the ponds with the ducks and the geese... all the magnificent trees and bird life... so not only the cycling but everything else... it will be so sad to see it taken away
i have advised samanthab... who we were told to contact of the petition site and will forward the petitions to her... I have also sent the link to Birdlife South Africa as I know they do walks there as well... have to start somewhere..

read the articles in the fourways gazette... there have been three articles recently and all of them say that the police say they will give them a case number... and thats about it... they are not taking this seriously... are they waiting for someone to get killed first.... this is crazy....
thats the time my friend saw them in the mealie field and shouted to me to turn around... we approached from tombstone and then headed back at an extremely fast pace ( my fast pace) in that direction and across back to the car park.... I screamed as loud as I could when I saw this guy head up that way but am so sorry you did not hear me and there was no way I could give chase and catch you if my life depended on it... I am seriously slow - which at almost 60 years old I am entitled to be... we did warn everyone that we passed on the way back and reported it to the guys washing the bikes who contacted simon immediately as he had just gone out for a ride.. I am sorry
This is the same area that we saw the guys in the corn fields... the northern section next to the sand road... thank heavens my friend heard them.. they obviously were waiting for me to reach the area as well... this was at approx 10am this morning... so very unfair - why can we not get police reservists to patrol the area - having a few guys on foot is definately not going to help ... and the previous day I just purchased another full season ticket... not sure if I would like to use it now!!!! just so pleased the guy was not harmed physically... mentally i am sure he is still in shock..doreen2010-01-03 14:35:00
Two of us were cycling at the farm this morning and up near tombstone along the road that leads to tombstone my friend was ahead of me and when he reached the top of the hill told me to turn back... there were guys hiding in the mealie field... when they saw him look at them they retreated further back into the field.. must have been a reason for that. we pedalled back at a hair raising pace.. and did report this when we got back to the car park... makes me so mad as there is nothing that I looked forward to more than Sat and Sund morning rides at the farm...
