  1. Just received a call from Melanie. They have sorted out my order. Thank you so much guys. Greatly appreciated
  2. My order that I placed on Friday for over R5000 is still showing as processing on the system. I phoned twice today to speak to Melanie and twice I was promised she would call me back......still waiting. I've had good service in the past but this has been a bit dissappinting to be honest.
  3. Hectic... It made my feet tingle just watching it
  4. Thanks. The more I read up on it the more depressed I get. Washing the car is a huge effort at the moment. Hopefully i will feel good enough to get in an easy ride sometime soon.
  5. I've been off the bike since the end of April. I was fighting flu like symptoms since the beginning of April and had to pull out of Joberg2C halfway through day 7. My blood results show that I have glandular fever. Not sure how long it's going to take to recover which really sucks because I was the fittest that I have ever been.
  6. Some were tested like crazy and then took to social media complaining that they were basically being victimised by SAIDS. Then they got caught..... Would you sponsor a convicted doper? I certainly wouldn't.
  7. I have only had good dealings with Cyclesure. I built up a road bike with used high end frame and components. Cost me about 50k to build. I insured it for full replacement cost, ie cost of replacing it now with the current frame and component costs. I pay premiums on 100k. My mountain bike is also insured for full replacement cost not what i paid for it I had had 2 claims in the last 6 months. Claimed a broken shifter from getting taken out at the track on my road bike. No problem from Cyclesure. Claim was authorised within a couple of hours of sending through the forms and i was paid for the full replacement cost less excess I have just claimed a new frame for my mountain bike after having a crash. Again my claim was authorised within a couple of hours by Cyclesure at full replacement cost less excess. At the end of the day you get what you pay for. Every year my broker pays me a visit and we re-evaluate my insured items.
  8. He was at the race smiling and carrying on like nothing had ever happened. He did serve his ban but still..... I don't think I could show my face again if i was in the same situation. I guess some are born with thicker skin. It leaves a bit of a sour taste in one's mouth seeing him on the podium. I wish all event organisers serious about cleaning up our sport would ban convicted dopers from participating in their events the same way the Epic does. I see smaller events are also now following the Epic's stance on convicted dopers. What baffles my brains is that he is still able to get sponsors
  9. The Stage is an absolutely awesome bike. I have owned a Scott 900RC Spark and an Spez Epic and much prefer my Stage. It also looks very sexy . It climbs like a mountain goat and is so comfortable and quick on the descents that it is actually scary. The frame is super stiff which make handling an absolute dream. I cannot wait to tackle 9 days of Joberg2C on my baby.
  10. Nothing gets past you Ryan. Set it up more for marathon than trail.
  11. I will reply after the weekend. I have a 2 day race which will be the perfect opportunity to test it out properly
  12. A photo of my Pyga Stage taken on this mornings ride
  13. I'm in for next year, will be my first. After 4 consecutive Sani2c events I'm looking forward to something slightly different. Can't wait to take a 9 days break from life.
