  2. 20 year old Merhawi Kudus climbed to second place on the queen stage of this year’s Le Tour de Langkawi, on Sunday 2 March.   4. Before winning the GP of Zurich last August, the Namibian Raul Costa had been discovered by the World Cycling Centre (WCC) during a training camp at its South African base. We’ve taken a rider who’s been on WorldTour teams before, but this result is the first yellow jersey and first race he’s won since 2010. It shows our nurturing and supporting environment from a coaching and management support point of view and how we’ve been able to take an athlete whose been a good rider in world cycling but taken him to a higher level.   14. Milan-San Remo winner Gerald Ciolek and Spanish climber Sergio Pardilla will lead Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung in the Tour of Austria (June 30 – July 7 / UCI 2. HC) starting this coming Sunday. The two riders from the first African Professional Continental team travel to Austria with good memories: Gerald Ciolek won two stages and the points ranking at the race in 2007, wearing the U23 World Champion's jersey, which he won the year before in Salzburg. Sergio Pardilla climbed to tenth place overall in the race last year, and in 2010 was on the podium in Vienna as second overall.   15. It couldn't have been closer or more exciting end to the second stage of the International Bayern Rundfahrt (May 22-26 / UCI 2.HC). Milan-San Remo winner Gerald Ciolek of Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung was beaten into second place by South African Daryl Impey (Orica-GreenEdge) in a photo-finish. Third on the difficult Queen Stage over 199.6 kilometers was Adriano Malori (Lampre Merida). Gerald Ciolek won not only the stage but also took over the lead at the International Bayern Rundfahrt (May 22-26 / UCI 2.HC), giving Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung its first yellow jersey of this cycling season.   17. Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung got off to a great start in the 34th International Bayern Rundfahrt (May 22-26 / UCI 2.HC), with a fourth place finish for Gerald Ciolek. After 193.1 kilometers from Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm to Mühldorf am Inn, the 26-year old just missed out on the podium as the win went to Alex Rasmussen of Garmin-Sharp, who also took the overall lead in the race.
