  1. The 3rd stage of the Tour of Demark was termed the queen stage and Matti Breschel (Tinkoff-Saxo) would be the rider to take the victory.   10. Milan-San Remo winner Gerald Ciolek and Spanish climber Sergio Pardilla will lead Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung in the Tour of Austria (June 30 – July 7 / UCI 2. HC) starting this coming Sunday. The two riders from the first African Professional Continental team travel to Austria with good memories: Gerald Ciolek won two stages and the points ranking at the race in 2007, wearing the U23 World Champion's jersey, which he won the year before in Salzburg. Sergio Pardilla climbed to tenth place overall in the race last year, and in 2010 was on the podium in Vienna as second overall. Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung put its mark on the first stage of the Skoda Tour of Luxembourg (June 12-16 /UCI 2.HC), as Gerald Ciolek finished second after Jay Thomson spent most of the stage in a breakaway. Ciolek challenged in the mass sprint in bad weather conditions in Hautcharge, and was beaten only by Alexander Porsev (Katusha).   12. Gerald Ciolek's sixth place stage finish on Sunday ended Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung's successful appearance at the International Bayern Rundfahrt (May 22-26 / UCI 2.HC). Ciolek was beaten in the sprint finale at the famous Nürnberger Burg by Heinrich Haussler. The Team IAM rider won an exciting finale after 169.9 kilometers between Kelheim and Nürnberg ahead of Basque Juan-Jose Del Lobado (Euskaltel) and Belarussian Yauheni Hutarovich (AG2R). Milan-San Remo winner Ciolek ended the only German stage race for professionals tenth behind the overall winner, Italian Adriano Malori (Lampre Merida). Click here to view the article
  13. Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung got off to a great start in the 34th International Bayern Rundfahrt (May 22-26 / UCI 2.HC), with a fourth place finish for Gerald Ciolek. After 193.1 kilometers from Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm to Mühldorf am Inn, the 26-year old just missed out on the podium as the win went to Alex Rasmussen of Garmin-Sharp, who also took the overall lead in the race.
