  1. Wiggle/CRC possibly going into administration https://road.cc/content/news/wiggle-reportedly-heading-towards-administration-304591
  2. Hi All, Yesterday I got my SRAM goodies bought from CRC. Why am I posting? Well I bought these goodies after CRC stopped listing SRAM products for buyers from SA. So I thought I will tell you how I did it (NOTE: I do not know if they since corrected it) It was purely accidental. I was logged in, but my country and currency settings were UK and GBP. I then added the SRAM goods to a wish list. At this point I did not know that I could not buy these items anymore. After making up my mind, I went back online to buy the items. This time fixing my country to SA, but keeping currency in GBP. Low and behold I could not view the SRAM goods anymore. This is when I read on The Hub of the change. I then went into my wishlist, and saw the items were still listed in there, and I then added it from my wishlist (there is a function to move the items from wishlist to cart). Success, they were added to my cart. Thinking that somewhere in the checkout process this oversight will be picked up, I continued through the checkout process and again, Success. Items were shipped and received. Those interested in the prices (I used vouchers and the ZAR exchange rate reflects the average I bought the vouchers for) GX Shifter GBP23.99 @ 20.10 R482.20 GX Deraill GBP66.29 @ 20.10 R1332.43 XT Casse GBP54.99 @ 20.10 R1105.30 SARS Charge (GBP145.47 * 17.563 (SARS exchange rate) * 1.1 * 14%) = R393.45 (NOTE: No Duties) SAPO clearance Fee R43 Total Rand = R3356.58

  4. If the measure of a business is how it deals with a problem, CRC have shown themselves worthy of the title of the “world’s biggest on-line cycle retailer”. I have dealt with CRC for about seven years now and for the first time had a problem with a product that was delivered and, as it was not something I could get locally, I needed it replaced rather than refunded. Without going into all the detail, I was happy to pay towards the shipment of the replacement (and offered to do so) but CRC customer services made sure I was not out-of-pocket, and even tossed in something small I had intended to order. I support the local industry and only use the internet for things I cannot readily find here. This experience again shows why CRC is my favourite online retailer and why it is the one I have stuck with. They really do do things brilliantly.
  5. GUd day Hubbers! Those that follow us on social media may have noticed that we have launched our own dedicated online store for GU locally, GetGU.co.za. We offer our whole current range here, so if you have perhaps been struggling to get a certain product in your area you should be able to find it here. We also offer FREE SHIPPING ON ALL ORDERS! As well as on overnight option at extra cost for smaller orders. We've currently got specials running on our GU Brew tubs (get a free tube of Electrolyte Tabs with it) as well as our Roctane gels. Then we've launched the new Roctane Electrolyte Capsules exclusively on our site, they're great for preventing upset stomachs and assisting with hydration. They'll only be in retail late in the year and are also on a launch special! At the moment we provide product in bulk so you can buy a whole box of gels or sachets for example. We may look into providing single units in future if the site takes off. If there's demand we'll see if we can organise a little "Hubber Exclusive" deal or discount code for you, let us know what you're after. So why not get your buddies to all chip in and get a box or two of your favourite GU!? Enjoy your shopping! The GU Crew.
