  1. Hey everyone I've recently noticed an increase of more enduro bikes (hopefully riders) on my local trails here in, Hermanus, in the Hemel en Aarde Valley. Although these trails are not bad, they do lack any form of challenge or gradient. A few mates and I have been building a pretty steep and gnarly-ish trail and would be keen to show or send the location of to anyone who is looking for something a bit different in Hermanus. If you're a local and have some spare time to contribute to finishing up the trail and or maintenance, it would also be greatly appreciated. If you are coming for a weekend and need someone to show you some of our more gravity focused trails we've built (and found ) do let me know.
  2. The third leg in the new Western Cape Nissan TrailSeeker Series will take place this weekend in the picturesque Hemel and Aarde valley near Hermanus. Directly translated as "heaven on earth” the Hemel & Aarde valley is not only a gem when it comes to the picturesque landscapes and fantastic wines in the region, the exquisite hand built trails are equally attractive. The mountain bike trails around the coastal town of Hermanus are some of the most under-rated trails in the country. But on Saturday, they’ll be highly appreciated when over 1000 mountain bikers tackle them at the Nissan TrailSeeker Hemel & Aarde event. Click here to view the article
  3. Hi, I will be at our holiday home in Hermanus from Friday 25th - Monday 28th April for the long weekend. I would love to do the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley Black route with some company. Don't intend to race it as fast as possible but also not stop every 10 minutes. So if you are keen let me know! Pieter
