  1. So I've managed to get hold of a 650b Intense Tracer 2 and am looking at fork options. Most Intense's are spec'd with a 150s or 160s which give a head angle of 68 and 67 respectively. Obviously everyone wants a pike but I don't want to throw R20K at the fork and there isn't much about 2nd hand in the 150+ realm. There is though a couple of deals out there on new 140mm Rockshox sektors. While not the top of may peoples list it's a solid fork built on most of the Revelation hardware and will do as a stop gap until something longer comes up (but that could be a bit). Just wondering how much it will effect the angles and ride with a shorter fork that will steepen it it up a bit and if it's going to go well or dilute the frame design?
  2. It is no secret that I am madly in love with my Intense Tracer 275. Our relationship started back in April 2013 already with over 6000km shared most with me smiling from ear 2 ear, I can honestly say that I still don't desire 'an upgrade'. It is probably one of my best decisions made ever in my life thus far and that was without even riding or fitting such a bike. I knew I was taking a chance with buying one because of them not having support in SA (even then Paragon that got it in for me I could/would not have called 'support'), but now there is nothing ACCEPT my contact with Sam Wilson @ Intense CA, USA. I had an accident and needed a new swing arm (details in another thread). Not only did he send that, but both top and bottom link too. Because of the incident it wasn't covered under warranty (which I was okay with) and the charge was only $300 for the parts (which I don't think was bad). I placed the order the 30th March, parts was with me on the 5th April. That is faster than most local stores can send things locally. BIG thumbs up Mr. Sam, you have given me confidence to stick with Intense for many many more years to come (if the feeling I get from riding the bike wasn't enough reason already).
  3. My shoulder bolt on my Intense 6.6 is missing, think it fell out, or I misplaced it while taking bike apart to remove brakes, anyhow, its missing:/ Does any one perhaps have a spare one (1 :1000000000 chance ) Or can point me towards someone that can source it or make it? Cheapest I could find is from fanatic bike company which will work me out around R400 Picture of the bolt (mine still solid, not like the new ones) http://fanatikbike.com/merchant/1547/images/large/shoulder-bolt-ncs-fro.jpg
  4. So Brian finally saw the light   First he parts ways with Ibis (mutual decision with both parties on good terms): http://www.vitalmtb.com/news/news/Brian-Lopes-and-Ibis-Part-Ways,727 And it seems like he will be riding Intense from now on (use translate in chrome): www.endurotribe.com/2014/03/mercato-brian-lopes-quitte-ibis-pour-intense/#toparticle
