  5. Just a heads-up - a person who uses the name above is working a scam on K2C entries. Basically, no entries available, so she advises (on the K2C 2018 fb page) that she has an entry for sale. Money changes hands (electronically of course), and then no more. Simple, yet effective. Looking on the K2C page it has happened to at least 2 people so far. So, be alert. and.....if anyone really does have entries for sale, please advise - a friend is in need.
  6. Barry de Kock and George Fitzpatrick are just about halfway to their goal of cycling from Beitbridge to Knysna. The pair – who have been friends since they both worked for SAA many years ago – have undertaken the journey to raise funds for cataract operations, sponsoring a guide dog, and cornea transplants, through the Knysna Lion’s Club. 10. Just managed to slip in for the Karoo to Coast by entering the Dr Evil Classic today. We'll be three guys staying in the Dr Evil race village in Wittedrif from the 18th to the 20th September, and will prefer to spend the Saturday night in Uniondale. (Not too keen on getting ready for a 4am shuttle from Knysna after three days of riding...) If there's someone planning to do the same, it will be nice to hook up to get the vehicles sorted. We'll be going up in a double cab, and should be able to fit one (or two at a squeeze) extra rider and bike going to Uniondale on Saturday night. After the race on Sunday, you can then drive one of us from Knysna to fetch the bakkie from Uniondale. Any takers?

  12. One entry for Karoo to Coast 2014 available as substitution. I also have booked/paid for a seat on a shuttle leaving Knysna at 4am for Uniondale on the day of the race. This was a cancellation...so they are full otherwise. Inbox me: lexischoltz@gmail.com

  14. Hi Guys, a bunch of mates and I are doing the K2C for the first time this year. We have booked accommodation in Knysna and I'm trying to find out if there is somewhere safe for us to park our bike off for the Saturday night, prior to race day. The intention is to go up on Saturday (to Uniondale) and register, have dinner, get a feel for the event etc, and then head back down to Knysna. the following morning we'll head up to Uniondale in one vehicle (with a driver) and do the ride. Any suggestions/advice. Thanks!!
