Manon Carpenter became another bike theft statistic after eight mountain bikes and two off-road bikes stolen from her home in Caerphilly. There is an active appeal for information relating to her garage being broken into on Van Terrace, Castle Park, Caerphilly between 7.00pm on Sunday 22 November and the morning of Tuesday 24 November. If anyone has any info that can help Manon they can contact Caerphilly police on 101. Madison Saracen Factory Team star Manon Carpenter produced the run of the day as she powered her way to her first ever World Cup win in the women’s Downhill at the first UCI MTB World Cup, presented by Shimano, ahead of fellow Brit and current World Champion, Rachel Atherton at the Cascades MTB Park on Saturday, ending a week of total domination of the women’s downhill competition. All the dust is settled and Aaron Gwin has come back to 2014 charging to victory. Greg Minnaar was super fast, but at the end could only pull of third and Mick Hannah blasted down the hill early on and managed a superb 2nd.
