The company I work for has organised an MTB event at Central Park Trails in Modderfontein. Some of us are contemplating riding from Midrand to the start and then obviously home again. The shortest driving distance is the highway which we cannot take, but, is there any routes that we could ride directly to the reserve? (even if some of it has to be tar) If there is a direct route, is it 'safe' to ride? There will only be a few riders together (so far I only have one other rider who has shown interest in doing this with me) Allendale is obviously an option, but, that is definitely going the long way around (going down Allendale is about 25km whereas direct can't really be more than 10km)
