  1. Hi Guys, now that we have our own Track tab, this thread follows on from the Gauteng Track cycling one under Single speed.
  2. Maroesjka Matthee and HB Kruger claimed the women's and men's individual pursuit titles at the Confederation of African Cycling (CAC) Continental Track Championships in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday afternoon while Annerine Wenhold claimed gold in the elite and junior women's Keirin final in Friday morning's action as the schedule turns towards the qualifying for the sprint events over the weekend. The Hector Norris Park Cycling Track in Turffontein will play host to the 2015 South African National Track Championships from 7-11 April and the top names in track cycling are expected to be lining up on the Highveld with an eye on a national championship crown and the South African striped jersey at the end of the event. The 2015 UCI Para-cycling competition season has just begun with the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships currently underway on 26 March in the small town of Apeldoorn, in the Netherlands. Multiple objectives were considered in selecting the South African team to compete in these championships. While Track cyclists are planning for the upcoming 2016 SA National Track, Para-cycling and Omnium Championships take place at the Westbourne Cycling Track in Port Elizabeth from 28 March to 3 April, South African Para-cyclists Roxy Burns (C3), Dane Wilson (C5) and Juan Odendaal (C3) are gearing up for a bigger event on the global cycling calendar. Cycling South Africa is proud to present the South African Track Grand Prix and National Series, with rounds one and two taking place in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, at the Cyril Geoghegan Cycle Track from 7-9 August 2016. The event is classified as a UCI CL 2 event, drawing attention not just from South Africa, but other African countries as well in a bid to afford our track cyclists the opportunity to earn valuable UCI points at a local event.
