  3. The Tour of Britain kicked off today with a 177 kilometer long route through Wales. After a rather wet start on the scenic coastline of Northern Anglesey, the peloton took on the lumpy profile that lay ahead of them. The local teams tried to animate the early stages of todays race. This tactic proofed to be successful with Kristian House (JTL Condor), Pete Williams (One Pro Cycling), Tom Stewart (Madison Genesis) and Connor Dunne (An Post-Chain Reactions) finding their way into the break.   4. The Amgen Tour of California kept the best for last as a thrilling final stage saw Peter Sagan win the necessary bonus seconds to win the race overall. In the end Alexander Kristoff (Katusha) underlined his recent form and added another win to his palmarès. The Norwegian had the fastest legs and came in ahead of Edward Theuns (Topsport Vlaanderen – Baloise) and Yauheni Hutarovich (Bretagne – Séché Environnement).   10. Tyler Farrar finished fifth in the bunch sprint closing the second stage of Tirreno-Adriatico. A crash in the closing meters marred the finale, but Farrar was ahead of the scene. The short technical course around Melbourne was quite a spectacle with William Clarke (Drapac) clocking the fastest time to take the victory.   14. Tyler Farrar has joined Team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung for the 2015 cycling season. The American sprinter has spent his last 7 years with the current World Tour outfit, Garmin Sharp. Farrar is also part of a select group of riders in world cycling that has won a stage in each of the 3 grand tours. Farrar brings a tremendous amount of experience with him to Team MTN-Qhubeka as well as some pure speed and power that will fit directly into the team’s plans and goals for the 2015 cycling season.
