  1. Hi guys, So my command post (dropper) stopped working completely. Took it to Complete Cyclist in Bedfordview where I purchased my previous bike from and where my current bike was purchased, to have the dropper post checked out. Walter from the service dept called me earlier to tell me that the dropper needs to go to CT for a service but that they were gonna fit a dropper post from one of their demo bikes so that I can ride this weekend! I've always had great service from this store and can't rave about their customer service enough!
  2. Hi guys I am coming to SA and will be in JOHANESSBURG for a few days I need some good recommendation for a great cycle shop. I am looking for a MTB 29er dual. Want a shop that can offer me a great service correct fitting and just good business not a yuppie sale but honest passionate people that know there story Any leads appreciated Happy riding
  3. Just wanted to recommend Tool-up Cycles in Grey Owl Shopping Center Centurion. After replacing spoke after spoke at other bike shops they were able to figure out what was wrong and fix it. They even borrowed me a wheel for the weekend so I could keep on riding while I waited for the rim they ordered. This was the best service I received from any bike shop and can strongly recommend them. Really over and above
  4. All too often one is quick to criticize our levels of service received, yet once great service is received, no mention is made of it. To this end I wish to commend Solomons & especially Alone (service manager) for outstanding service. I got a late entry to Sani2C (Sunday evening) & had to leave for Sani on Tuesday. I took my bike in to Solomons in Lynwood on Monday & was informed that the bike would be ready on Tuesday morning before I left for Underberg. On Tuesday I collected the bike. New gear cables & the small crank blade had been replaced. The bottle cage screws were stripped & Alone installed a new bottle cage system on my seat post. A new tire was fit & topped up with tire sealant. The bike was lubed & checked for squeaks & irritating noises. The bike performed flawlessly for the full 3 days. It is really reassuring to be able to just climb on your bike & ride & not have to stress about your bike. At Sani after the ride, your bike is washed by the staff there. All I did was lube the chain afterwards. We ended 62 'nd after 3 days of awesome trail riding. Next time it will be on a dual suspension bike. Thanks again for great service. ????
  5. Kudos to Henning and the crew at Pedalworx Somerset West - did amazing work on repairing my babies (DT-Swiss carbon rims), this they did twice in one week, front and back rims!!! Nice boys!
  6. The Hub is often used to flame suppliers of bad service but here is a note on the incredible service from Omnico on my GoPro. Basically I needed a new lens for the casing for my Hero 2 which is discontinued and I couldn't find spares anywhere. Called Omnico, spoke to Shaheema, and she confirmed that they also did not have any replacement lenses but did have a complete case for the Hero 2. So I think, this is going to cost me upwards of R600 to replace, but no she couriered the replacement case to me in 2 days at no charge. Well done Omnico, you have one happy camper right here!
  7. Thank you for great and friendly service on Saturday. You made the shopping for a new bike experience easy and pleasant. My list of demands were high and you met each and every one of them. The Teacher is very happy with the Merida, and the setup seems perfect, she can’t stop smiling. Always a pleasure dealing with Rodney, will be back, thanks!
  8. Last night went riding up Tokia forest and something went wrong with my crank and started making a funny but worrying noise. I turned around and headed down. Took a change at 18:45 to see if CycleLab in Westlake is still open, lucky for me one door still open. What happened next is why I am raving about the absolutely brilliant service I got. The owner him self got busy and took my whole front crank apart and fixed it for me without even me asking him. He has gone that extra 1000 miles for me and I want to thank him. Please guys support this shop for all your cycling needs the service is great and the people there go out off there way to help you. Cheers
