  1. So here's a question or 2 for a little survey i'm doing. Is there any company in SA who can replace stanchions and steerer tubes other than buying a complete new CSU from LBS/Importer. I'm talking about a suspension workshop who can take your existing fork and replace the stanchions and/or steerer tube. AFAIK, locally getting forks serviced and perhaps bushings replaced is about as far as they go. When it gets to stanchions then fork is toast or a new CSU is offered which works out more cost effective to replace the entire fork. What would you be prepared to pay for fitting new stanchions ? And what would you be prepared to pay to have new steerer tube fitted ?
  2. Hey guys, So I just started pulling apart my 2013 Rockshox Reba off a second hand bike I bought recently. I figured it'd be safe to service it, since I don't know when last/if it was serviced. I opened it up to find whats in the pictures. So.. I know its not as bad as it could be.. but how bad is it? I presume there's nothing I can really do about it aside from ride it until it dies. How worried should I be though? Also, does that bushing look normal? I've never opened a fork so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was a bit surprised by the green dots. Is this how Rockshox bushings look or are they perhaps after market? Cheers
  3. Got a little over ambitious down Alice in Wonderland i think it was on sunday morning. Took a tumble. Nothing serious. There was no impact as such. No air or oil leaks as yet. seals seem fine...for now anyways. Been reading up about all sorts of fixes. Wondering if any lbs in cape town actually does them. Or if there is a mad scientist out there who knows what to do this is the fork http://www.marzocchi.com/template/detailProdotti.asp?idC=1528&IdFolder=113&idMY=30710&IdOggetto=30803
