I have a slight dilemma, and was wondering if anyone had a way around it...

I brought my bike in to South Africa whilst on vacation (t)here in a bike case. And it was not officially imported and the insurance company is looking for import papers before it insures the bike.

Any suggestions on what to do?

ask a different insurance co. mine were insured and I didn't ever produce import papers because there weren't any for the ones from UK. I was with outsurance, my MTBs were insured through my 4x4 insurance co. (very cost effective)

Thanks! Wasn't sure if it was standard across the board. Someone else has been taking care of things in SA for me until I get back there, and figured if I needed to "produce" something I could get it here before I go back.
