Mav, go ride them both and see what suits you best. There's no other way to pick a bike. You'll fall in love with one - that's the one to buy. If not, (this may be the hard part!) be patient and shop around a bit more.

 

Why did you decide on just those two? There's surely plenty more options available as well - within the budget. The fact that they were recommended (most likely on a bang-for-buck basis regarding components) does not mean that either geometry will suit you.

Cheers for that.Some advise there.the prob is that there two many choices a.its like a kid in a candy store.

since i last bought a bike so many things have changed.any ideas

I bought my wife a new Merida before the Argus. I ride a Giant TCR but I must say, the Meridas are good value for money. I was suprised how little these alu frames weighed. My wife is very happy with her Merida.
