We have just had the priviledge of riding some of the most amazing trails at Holla trails in Balito. The only downside was that we only had two days of riding, with a whiole bunch of other trails still to ride.

The first trail that we rode, was the yellow trail. 48km(52km as it truned out...) of amazing riding. More than enouigh climbing (730m ascent) to give the legs a good work-out! The single track and the scenery was simply awesome.

The second trail we took on was the 28km maroon track. Even more spectacular single track, that will give your cross country skills a good workout, lots of bridges to cross, and a good deal of climbing for a 28km route (380m ascent) of which one climb was a about 2,5 km.

This is the kind of place that one could spend 5 days riding some of the most amazing trails, with a choice of route profiles, that will give you almost any combination of single track, climbing, medium distance, long, or short.

Next time we are back, we will certainly take on the 80km route...

Across the highway in the opposite direction. When you get to the T Junction turn left towards Stanger, then right towards the Microlight filed. Just before it on the rhs you will see a sign saying Colisheen Estate, that's where it is. Great hot showers and coffee shop. Get your permit on site. http://www.hollatrails.co.za/web/

Rode there in Dec. Only had 1 day and I also did the yellow route. Was amazing.

Great hot shower after and breakfast. Good coffee.

Only complaint was that bikewash was a bit expensive after also paying for the ride.

Ah no! I wish you posted this last week. We've just come back from Prince's Grant. I found a place called Cane and Spoke but it turned out to be not as good as what it looked on the website. They're more or less closed because they're preparing for som event. They still let us ride though but we picked up a total of 6 punctures. Not worth it.

I'm sure it's better when the trails are marked out but it doesn't look as there's much climbing.
