I’ve done a few of the Kinetic series adventure races, its good fun. The rides are not very technical, the runs are not far but lots of time can be lost or gained on the canoe leg. The key to a good race is to spot the markers (some are well hidden behind trees etc) and to keep your momentum in navigating the maps (i.e. have a good team system going so you don’t have to stop after each marker).

Thanks for the info GT Man. In what sequence is the event? MTB, run, canoe and then obstacle course?

Normally you can choose to run or ride first, there are 2 bike and 2 run legs, which you have to alternate and complete before moving on to canoe(and sometimes just for fun with something thrown in, in the middle like a zip line). Then as said, its the canoe leg and obstacle course.

If you are going for a fast time you don’t really have to conserve too much for the canoe and obstacle legs they don’t require much effort (i.e. you can gun it on the cycle and run legs).

Canoe can be a laugh with many teams going zig-zag (or in circles) across the water.
