Simple (I hope) Edge 800 question

Hi guys. For MTB - Can I upload a previous route (say from Garmin connect or a ride I previously did) and then have navigation/routing so that I can follow the same route?

Trick is it will be offroad so no base map to refer to..only the route. So basically looking for a map which shows the previous route with some go left, go straight, go right icon/directions?

 

I dont want togo to a website and create a route from scratch..merely want to ride one already previously recorded.

If its a Garmin file or a file the garmin uses, yes. Just import to the device on the garmin training center

Yup you can upload straight from the www.connect.garmin.com website to your Edge800, even from other user profiles.

 

Find it on your edge under "Courses" hit "Go" and it will map the route for you. At this point you can hit the start button to start your trip timers. It will know whether you are at the start of the coarse or give you the option of navigating to the start first.

 

I've only done it once but it doesn't talk to you, merely give you a sharp shrill noise if you veer off the path you're supposed to take
