Hi could someone please tell if id be better of with a new merida 96 3000 D or a scott spark 35.

The spark 35 is a carbon frame, but it is a demo model. it has a few scratches but it seems it was not ridden, just handling in the stores. The new merida is well specked but no carbon frame. Is it really that big of an advantage ?

Thanx

Wolfjas, I ride a 2010 Merida 96 3000 D. Don't know if/how they changed to now. And no idea about the Scott.

But though I love mine, take it for a ride first. Apparently a lot of people do not like the geometry on the bike and ends up selling it. Like I said, I love mine!

My advise is anyways to take bikes for a ride first and decide. One will speak to you! (Bugger the specs.)

That said, I'm not the most experienced mtb'er out here.
