BBBR' date=' We know each other very well, between my and your experiences at that shop, .. YES.. Go get another LBS.

Now you going to asked which one, damm hard to recommend.

I'm with Chris Willemse at this stage and I told them from the beginning, I don't want to come back again after they repair something..

I want it fixed. Thats why I pay what they asked..

I do not asked discount.. NEVER.... but give me what I pay for.

And so far, I had no problems, Everytime is done the way I want it.

Even got a e-mail afterwards (about 4 days later) to asked if I'm happy.

So, If you asked me? give them a try. They stock the same cycling stuff as well at great prices.

You can only benefit to go to their shop.

Go to Oom Chris and Klein Chris, tell them who you are, what you expect... you wont be sorry.

Its got nothing to do with the guys (as in person)

Its about the service they give. Something is wrong with their QA prosedure.

You cannot just go by the word of the machenic. Someone senior in the shop needs to be the "point of control" and "contact" with the customer.

Something like a BMW Service Manager. You speak to him/her. You argue and sh*t on him if you are not happy.

BBBR - If you're looking for a service centre then try Mark's Bicycle Workshop just off Voortrekker rd.

Okay, I'm a bit biased because he's a good mate of mine but he only became that because he did such a good job on my bike. Your bike will thank you for it Big%20smile.

Geco Cycles - been going there for the last few years.

Get a new bike shop to do your services or learn to do it yourself.

Sorry girls if you want to ride mountainbike you will have to be able to check that your wheels are tight!!!!!  Especially when you going to do a race so more when you have disc brakes.

a new shop in ct trashed a set of discs and pads the other day- washed the bike with "lamp olie" so the pads absorbed it and it had to all be replaced R600 later.

Yes, I had a long and hard though about it again.

BBBR:

Don't moan about a bicycle shop service.

1) They will do what they want = You have to know more at the end of the day as the machanic himself, thats why you have to CHECK everything afterwards.

2) Don't expect to get the service you pay for = Its their shop, they can do what they want

3) Maybe dont make use of a cycle shop = Everyone should know how a bicycle work and should have all the tools to do it yourself

4) Don't call the owner/manager = He dont have time for you, after all, you paid already, he is now busy smoking someone else.popeye2007-11-21 04:00:38
