Hi guys recently bought my f100 from a hubber just wondering if there is anything i can do keep my shock in good codition and how of does one need to send it in for a service and what would cost be

Service it frequently. How often? Each time you notice oil leaking from the stanchion seals, no matter how recently it was serviced. Further, if it doesn't leak oil, then every 60 hours of riding if you ride at the back in the dust or every 20 hours if you're a pack leader and never eat dust.

Cost of a service that includes seals is about R600, give or take an O-ring or two.

Yes, of course you can do it yourself. If you're scared, attend one of the fork service workshops advertised here.

I define a leak as dripping oil. A sweaty stanchion means the seals still work as they are intended to - to release a thin (one molecule)layer of oil with each stroke so that the seal itself remains lubricated and doesn't rub itself into oblivion.

A service will cost you abouy R650-00, but I stand corrected.
